Best Pizza....EVER.

The inspiration came from our pizza night with the girls when I was in Georgia.  With a little bit of creativity, experimentation, and fresh veggies from our garden this pizza turned out GREAT!  Everything made from scratch (even including the store-bought dough from the Publix Bakery).  I made the pesto with fresh basil from our garden, topped it off with goat cheese, feta cheese, and fresh peppers and tomatoes also from our garden.  It seriously was some of the best pizza I have ever had...except for the pizza I had in Kiev, Ukraine.  I think that was because it was my first "real" meal in over two weeks!  Here are some pics from my pizza making session:

Ingredients...let's get cooking!

All put together ready to go into the oven.
It looks like a Christmas pizza...maybe a fun idea for a holiday party!

Fresh out of the oven!

Oh my YUM!  You know you want some.  :-)

Misha really liked it too.  I think we ate that whole pizza in one night.
Round one of pizza - movie - then round two.

This pizza making was Saturday night...Sunday Misha and I totally relaxed.  I read an entire book on Russian culture & etiquette.  OMG - SOOOOO much learned there.  That deserves a blog entry all to itself!  I started my new job yesterday so a blog entry will soon be made about that too.  I did some housekeeping in my new office today - cleaned, rearranged furniture, decorated, etc.  I plan to paint & hang curtains next week!  YaY!
